I am going to start doing a "color trending" blog post every so often, going over some of my favorite wedding color schemes that I see through my work! Being an invitation designer in the wedding world, I get to see all of the trending color schemes that come and go, or in this case...stay for good! Navy and gold is a classic and timeless wedding color scheme, especially in the thick of this gorgeous fall wedding season! I really don't think it will ever go out of season, and it is the perfect transition especially for those weddings that are trailing off the end of summer. You can't lose! Enjoy a few of these navy + gold wedding paper details from some past projects of mine!
One wedding trend that I am a HUGE fan of right now (and don't think I'll ever stop being a fan of tbh...) are agate slices! These gorgeous rocks will instantly add elegance, uniqueness, and serious show stopping place settings at your wedding reception!
For Ariel & John's Dallas Arboretum wedding, the bride had flat agate slices that she wanted to have lettered with all of her guests names to be used as place cards. First off...no complaints over here. I LOVE lettering on agate slices - they are so smooth and the ink glides right on, and especially when it is gold ink...too much pretty. Second, how fun is it that they are kind of like a built in wedding favor for your guests, too! Each of them gets to take home this pretty stone personalized just for them. I'm a fan! Ariel also provided large slices of agate that were used as simple table numbers. The combo of these beautiful floral arrangements, the agate slice, and touches of succulents were the perfect setting for this gorgeous Dallas summer wedding. Take a peek at the images below to get some inspiration on how to use agate slices the right way!
